Famed female of
Hollywood nightlife, Shereen Arazm and partner Alan Moore have added
boutique dining to their portfolio of outlets with "Parc". Parc is
located in the heart of Hollywood. Parc promises an elusive combination
in the current dining landscape - the "it" place to see and be seen
serving a menu and dining experience worthy of the buzz, and return
trips. An elaborate bar, a top sommelier, a personal celebrity chef and
five-star decor gives Parc a distinct ambiance amongst its peers. Parc
raises the standard set by Arazm's own string of successes in the
surrounding neighborhood - with Sunset Entertainment, Concorde, El
Centro, and Shag, with the Dolce Group, Geisha House and Bella, and her
own Italian eatery set to open this summer, Terroni.
Patrons
begin their Parc experience with an Oyster, Caviar and Champagne Bar
Menu. Guests enjoy a diverse selection of Oysters - raw on the half
shell - with their choice of sauces. In addition to Petrossian and
American Caviar, fine imported champagnes immediately cue guests to
Parc's distinct experience.
Small tasting plates are served as main courses. Diners are encouraged
to share a variety of dishes for the table including such delicacies as
Drunken Mussels cooked with Oven Roasted Coconut Chili Spiced Pineapple,
Grilled Black Angus Tenderloin of Beef with a Truffled Soy Béarnaise,
Clay Pot Baked Black Pepper Caramel Cod with Scallions & Crispy Onions,
and a Grilled Filet. Menu prices range as wide as the offerings - from
$7 to $20.
The Parc team includes one of the top female Sommelier in Canada, who
has built an eclectic wine and champagne list primarily focusing on
Californian and French selections. Passion fruit blackberry martinis and
cucumber ginger green tea cocktails stretch the traditional bar in fresh
directions. The bar's late night is run by Sky Reiss, formerly of Los
Angeles hotspots such as Las Palmas, Bar Deluxe, the Bar and Magnolia.
Parc is designed by Tracie Butler of Tracie Butler Interior Design.
Butler, who also designed Arazm's hotspot, Shag. She has given the
restaurant a clean and modern look with outdoor organic touches brought
inside. A 14 foot tree feature in the center of the room is surrounded
by 24 Swarovski Crystal smoked globe pendants. Creams and grays play
beautifully off the high polished lacquer bar. Macassar ebony table tops
which match the bar, along with plush booths make for a comfortable
dining experience. Outstanding hand crafted glass mirrored columns
highlight the main dining room. Adorned walnut wood paneling and
archways give Parc a warm and inviting vibe. Funky wall coverings
throughout the space add a retro feel. A private smoking patio lies at
the front of the restaurant.
Parc opens nightly from 6pm to 2 am, Monday thru Saturday, with the
kitchen open until close. Parc serves as the ideal first, or last,
course of a Hollywood night. |
